Hi Karen,
I just followed you over here from The Content Wrangler...hope you don't mind!
Maybe one day I'll even get a Second Life account too - if UX professionals can make money over there, maybe TWs can too?
Howdy - haven't chatted in sometime so I wanted to say 'hi' and see about getting some of us gals together later in October. Maybe we could pull in Amy and Heidi for a bite; haven't talked to them in 2-3 months.
Cheers/Lisa
We met at the STC conference this year- I am the incoming editor of Usability Interface. David just told me about this site and I have had fun exploring the blogs and forum. Thank you for setting up this community. I think it will be a great place to share and learn.
It's great that you created this community... I would like to get to know more about human computer interaction and user experience, but sometimes is difficult to find quality material. Your community is a very nice solution to that problem :)
Glad I found my way here. Sorry I didn't know about the UX Watercooler before today. We (Michigan Usability Professionals' Association) just finished the "Internet User Experience 2009" conference in Ann Arbor, Michigan on Thursday, April 2, 2009.
Looking forward to chatting with others in the UX community!
Thank you for welcoming me and for the initiative you took by initializing this community. I'm looking forward to learn and share a professional knowledge, as well as just to mingle with fellow professionals.
As a fresh solo freelancer I'm definitely missing an experience of the friendly chat by the office water cooler (or coffee machine). :)
We met and sat together at the STC Conference dinner in Philly in 2007. I have become more involved Usa/UX since I now teach a course on it at my college. This sounded like the community to join!
Cheers,
Joel Kline
