I've just started my adventure into Voice Recognition and VoiceXML Development. This applies to not only automated phone systems (ie. I'd be interested to hear from any Usability Experts how they would approach interface testing to gage user experience. I know with visual interfaces where a user interacts with mouse clicks there is a certain process, but I'm not familiar with anything for voice interfaces.

I don't want to create voicejail's from hell :)

I'd appreciate any feedback!
Thanks,
Hi folks,

I'm currently rapping up a 16 participant contextual inquiry project.
Awhile ago I remember seeing a modified "rose chart" as one way to map some qualitative trends found in research.

Does anyone have any good examples of this - with the rose chart?
or any other examples of visually mapping qualitative trends using a traditionally quantitative chart? I'd like it to be as multivariate as possible.

Thanks!
Ryan

Given how varied the experiences blending these two have been—from awful to incredible—this sounds like a useful resource.
Many of the sessions were recorded, and the recordings will be available in mid-summer (free to conference attendees and available for purchase by others). This offers a great way to virtually attend the conference and pick up some useful information.

While most of the conferences listed in Events have names indicating they focus on UX, many conferences like the Tech Comm Summit talk about designing and delivering a great UX within specific contexts without including UX terms in the name. Do you attend (or know of) any conferences or seminars that you would like to recommend? Feel free to add upcoming conferences to the Events. If you have already attended a conference, consider sharing the highlights with us. I came across a website today called Loop11 claiming to offer a web-based user experience testing tool - online, unmoderated user testing. Has anyone seen or used them before.
They appear to be in a private beta at the moment, to which I have registered, but have not yet been accepted.
